“QuiQui” is daughter of Oxnard and Hueneme’s undocumented Indigenous community and granddaughter of the Mam (Maya) people of Guatemala and Mexico. She organizes collectively from the Chumash lands where she was born and raised to build autonomous health, food, housing, and transportation.
As Interim Executive Director at BikeVC, QuiQui brings experience in organizing worker cooperatives, conducting popular education in informal learning spaces, and fighting against climate and ecological collapse.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Information Systems and a Master’s in Geography from California State University Northridge, and a doctorate in geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
